Get Android apps and digital content from the Google Play Store
You can install apps, games, and digital content on your device from the Google Play Store. Sometimes you can also use instant apps without installing the app on your device. Some content is free, some content you’ll need to buy.
Find and download apps or digital content
1- Open the Google Play Store app Google Play.
Note: you can also go to play.google.com.
2- Search or browse for content.
3- Select an item.
4- Tap Install (for free items) or the item's price.
5- Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the transaction and get the content.
For paid items, you can choose your payment method with the Down arrow Down Arrow. If it's your first time making a purchase, your payment method will be added to your Google Account.
You can change what language is displayed when you visit Google Play on your computer by changing your Google Accounts settings.
Note: Apps are designed for use with supported Android and Chromebook devices and can't be used on Windows or Mac computers.
Delete or disable apps on Android
You can uninstall apps you've installed on your device. If you remove an app you paid for, you can reinstall it later without buying it again. You can also disable system apps that came with your device.
For Instant Apps, you can clear the data for one app, or turn off Instant Apps. Learn how to manage Instant Apps.
Note: Some of these steps work only on Android 8.1 and up. Learn how to check your Android version.
